sustainability
Sustainability isn’t a ‘NICE TO DO’ it’s a ‘MUST DO’.
We are living on a planet. And there’s just one of them.
We cannot maintain our quality of life as human beings, the diversity of life on Earth, or Earth’s ecosystems unless we embrace it.
We need to manage our planet as if our life depended on it.
Because it does.
Fundamentally, it does.
And the root of change lies in understanding and striving for sustainability – in our offices, in our homes, in our communities, in our ecosystems and in our events, all around the world.
Our mission is to continually evolve: to make each event better than the last. Working in harmony with people and nature is central to this ethos.
Call us a trailblazer, pioneer or a disrupter – we will do what’s needed to drive change in the event industry. We want to help others challenge, rethink and reimagine experiences. Because all events have the potential to be a force for good.
Sustainable event management
or event greening, as it is also known, shouldn’t be daunting. It’s just thinking about things in a new way…

Sustainable event essentials
For almost 15 years we’ve been keeping it ‘local’.
When Warwick Events started in 2010, we had one rule: every event we created had to be local to our office in Stratford-upon-Avon. And by ‘local,’ we meant within 50 miles. For 12 years, that’s exactly what we did.
But in 2022, when B Lab UK invited us to tender for an event in London—the first gathering of 1,000 UK B Corps—we had to ask ourselves: why was this rule so important?
For us, it was always about working with local and independent suppliers, building relationships, and ensuring our events had a positive impact on the communities around us. With some extra research, we realised we could maintain this commitment, even beyond our original 50-mile radius—by sourcing suppliers local to the event location instead.
Now, wherever we create events, we pledge that at least 50% of purchased services and products will come from independent suppliers—either local to the event or local to us. Because keeping it local isn’t just about geography. It’s about impact.
And here’s a little snapshot of some of the other things we do:
- we keep, re-purpose, re-home and re-use the majority of our event décor
- we have generated over £2 million for the local economy and communities
- we support local charities with our ‘Together for Better’ campaign educating and connecting over 20 small, local charities
- we have one key partner charity, Bardsley Youth Project, with mentoring and financial support
- we’ve lead on initiatives with industry associations to highlight sustainability in the event sector
- our core team and extended family of freelancers care, genuinely care, passionately about people and the planet.
